One of my greatest accomplishments for the month of April was taking part in an author signing at Barnes and Noble. To some, that may not sound like a very big deal, but in the Indie community, it's pretty freaking huge. Traditional retailers are hesitant to shelf Indie titles, these days. When I asked a certain manager at the store, why that was his response was this:
"Unfortunately, the market has become so completely saturated as of late, that the only efficient way to discern which Indie titles are worth their paper, is to go directly to the readers for feedback. The best way for a reader to get their titles stocked, is to personally request them."
There you have it folks, if you want to help out an Indie author, JUST ASK!!! Apparently, enough of you have done so, that I managed to land a signing table at Barnes and Noble, and for that I am truly grateful!
